bASIC OBEDIENCE

If you have an out of control, ill-mannered pup, then this is where to start. This training covers the general commands that most dog owners want their dogs to have mastered:  'Sit', 'Down', 'No', and 'Come' are just a few examples.

OWNER MANAGEMENT PLANNING

While training is important, we humans need to do all we can to set our dogs up for success!  Sometimes dogs 'get into trouble', not because they're bad dogs, but because the owners didn't do their part in managing the dogs and their surroundings.  Proper management contributes greatly to peace of mind--for the dogs AND their owners!  We will help you!

bEHAVIOR MODIFICATION

This addresses the correction of specific, unwanted behaviors.  Some examples would include 'counter surfing', jumping on people, chasing cars, terrorizing cats, digging holes, etc.  An important element of Behavior Modification is teaching your dog alternative behaviors that ARE acceptable.  Remember:  your dog wants to please you; it's up to us to redirect and give them that opportunity.

PACK STRUCTURE EDUCATION

As descendants of wolves, dogs live with a 'Pack' mentality and don't understand it when we fail to operate according to pack rules.  Establishing the proper pecking order and maintaining healthy Pack Structure can be an absolute 'game changer' for the good.  Pack Structure lays a beautiful and solid foundation on which all dog training can be built upon and grow in strength.  In a sense, we teach you how to 'speak dog' and be the rock that your dog so highly desires to have and depend on.

LEASH & WALK Training

Is it a constant battle each time you take your furry friend for a walk? Constant pulling and other undesirable behaviors can make walking your dog something you dread. Since walking your dog should be a top priority, learning how to do it correctly is a HUGE step in the right direction. We can help you!

tHERAPY & PUBLIC ACCESS training

In order to have a successful career in a public working capacity, your dog must be able to pass a generalized public access test.  In addition to working with your dog, we work with you, the owner, on how to properly handle your dog, setting both of you up for success as a working team. NOTE: Not all dogs will be happy working in a public setting; an initial temperament assessment will be conducted before any training begins.
